Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Will Be Reopening With Services on June 7, 2020
Per Connecticut reopening rules, attendance at worship services is limited to 40 people. All parishioners must wear a face covering.
To comply with state requirements and CDC guidance, you will see some changes: entry to the church will be thru the ramp entrance only; hand sanitizer will be at the entrance; alternate rows of pews will be blocked off and seating staggered to achieve 6’ social distancing. Seating is limited to 40 parishioners. Immediate family members may sit together. All other worshippers will need to be seated observing 6’ social distancing. Ushers will assist with seating, communion and exiting.
There will not be Sunday School or a choir in June.
Communion will be offered in the traditional manner. Please open your mouth wide to avoid contact with the spoon.
The Sunday donation basket will not be passed. A stationary donation basket will be placed at the foyer entry for your contributions as you exit.
There will not be a coffee hour after services per CT prohibition of social gatherings of more than 5 people until at least June 20, 2020. The hall and kitchen are off limits to everyone. Restrooms are available but limited to one person at a time.
Sanitization of the church will be performed prior to and after services.
If you are Covid positive or are showing signs of possible exposure to the corona virus, please do not attend services. For those in the high-risk groups due to age or underlying conditions, please put your health first. Please continue to participate in the virtual liturgies available through the Archdiocese website, Facebook or You Tube. The church is a mandatory reporter. A Parish Council member will record your attendance, your phone number and email address as you enter. If anyone attending services at Holy Trinity develops Covid19 you must report the condition to the Parish Council or to Fr. Nick.
We are very happy to be able to reopen our church and ask for your cooperation in observing all social distancing practices and the efforts we are taking to keep us all safe as we worship together.
Donations may be made via credit card or Pay Pal at the church’s website: www.holytrinitydanielson.com. You may make a one time contribution or a monthly contribution using this service or you may send a check to the church at PO Box 236, Danielson, CT. 06239. With the closure of the church for two months, including Easter, and the possibility of not being able to hold the Annual Festival this year, the church is in a deficit. We would greatly appreciate payment of your stewardship pledge as soon as possible or an additional donation that you can make to help us meet our expenses.
